Sermon Series Notes

The Book of Haggai is a message of urgency for the people to rebuild the second temple in Jerusalem. Haggai, the prophet, blames a recent drought on the people's refusal to rebuild the temple, which he believes is essential to Jerusalem's glory. He also challenges the returned exiles to remain faithful and assures them that their efforts and faithfulness will be blessed.

“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.”

Haggai 2:9
