Paul writes to the church in Thessalonica to encourage steadfast faith amidst persecution, clarify misunderstandings about the return of Christ, and warn against idleness. He emphasizes the need to stand firm in God's truth, assures them that the Day of the Lord has not yet arrived, and urges them to work diligently while awaiting Christ's return.

“Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.”
